Your Role:
The Operational Excellence Manager is a critical leader for the Reynolds Consumer Products (RCP) operations organization who reports directly to the plant manager. The Louisville Foil Plant has recently begun creating its Operational Excellence System, “Boundless.” This role will be part of the continued creation and development of the system that will lead to Louisville’s sustained success.
This role is also responsible for leading the development and execution of plans to exceed the operational objectives as deployed by the Business Unit leadership teams. You will have the opportunity to:
Report to the plant manager.
Lead overall Operational Excellence System activities.
Work hands-on with assisting team members, more specifically with safety, quality, production, process engineering, maintenance, and purchasing.
Ability to lead by influence.
Responsible for implementing and promoting the right operational excellence culture within the organization to enable focused improvement and the mitigation of losses.
Develop and deliver necessary training to all levels of the organization supporting the Operational Excellence System deployment.
Proficient in understanding, implementing, maintaining, and further development of KPIs and manufacturing performance measurement systems such as safety incident rates, OEE, on-time delivery, MUV, scrap, costs, customer claims and complaints, etc.
Perform intuitive and data driven analysis, good understanding and practical application of how to identify losses and determine improvement opportunities through performance measurement.
Participate in the development and maintenance of KPIs required to track team performance and impact of improvements, responsible for establishing KPIs and setting challenging but realistic targets, pursue/influence stakeholders to buy into and accept targets.
Proficient in creating Operational Excellence System and/or Focused Improvement (FI) teams, selecting team members from cross-functional departments and coordination/facilitation of team activities.
Lead and participate in Kaizen events at the manufacturing floor level.
Responsible for assisting site personnel on creating, sustaining, and tracking the cost and benefit of projects.
Report on the Operational Excellence System implementation progress to the corporate steering team.
Helps teams interpret KPIs to determine appropriate actions; coordinate various functional groups to complete identified actions according to established deadlines.
Share, implement, and standardize best practices across different departments.
Responsible for creating presentations/case studies for practical application of the Operational Excellence System, tracking progress on goals and plans and assisting in the creation of the Operational Excellence best practice bank.
Facilitate Operational Excellence System team meetings, guide improvement teams through all the steps of the system and/or FI methods and tools.
Ultimately, you will be responsible for development and training, building individual capability of the site personnel, guiding site Focused Improvement (FI) activities, Site Steering Teams, and Site Pillar Teams. The Operational Excellence manager is expected to lead, promote, and coordinate the Operational Excellence System implementation and projects across all departments at the plant. With strong, visible support from the site leadership team, this individual will mentor plantwide Operational Excellence System activities to meet critical business objectives in collaboration with site Focused Improvement leaders.

We need you to have:
BS/BA degree.
7+ years of experience.
4+ years of process improvement experience.
Experience using SAP and JDA data management structures.
Competency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word).
Ability to work under time constraints.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.
Leadership skills and the ability to coach team members.
Able to perform basic calculations and use a scientific calculator.
Willingness to be flexible and adaptable for occasional work hour/priority changes.
Organizational skills and commitment to meeting deadlines.
Analytical thinking with the ability to critically evaluate individual processes.
Icing on the cake:
MBA or other advanced degree.
Prior experience in manufacturing.
Prior experience in project management.
