Your Role:
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for scheduling maintenance programs and processes for the assigned plant to minimize impact on production. In addition, this role will plan for interruptions in work and develop backup plans to minimize downtime. You will have the opportunity to:
Develop, communicate, and implement a monthly preventative maintenance calendar to maximize equipment reliability.
Quickly and effectively return equipment to design capability through planned maintenance.
Schedule, plan, and execute PM activities.
Generate work orders and plan work from completed check sheets.
Prioritize and Schedule work and resources to accomplish required tasks in allotted time.
Coordinate and schedule contractors to support plant maintenance personnel in the completion of major projects.
Ensure all plant safety policies and safe quality product policies are adhered to by plant personnel and contractors.
Conduct problem-solving activities to solve plant problems to root in a team setting.
Develop, train, and audit standard operating procedures and one-point lessons.
Provide relief coverage for maintenance supervision.
In locations where applicable, this individual is responsible for complying with the SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging, and reporting food safety problems to those authorized to act.

We need you to have:
BA/BS degree in Manufacturing, Materials, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in a similar role at a unionized manufacturing facility.
Experience with maintaining a CMMS.
Ability to develop maintenance personnel so they are knowledgeable of the process and have the skill set to quickly troubleshoot and repair problematic equipment.
Experienced in planning new equipment installations and upgrades.
Demonstrated interface with contractors and vendors.
Excellent communication and project management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Demonstrated aptitude in problem-solving and negotiation.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with high attention to detail.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
Must be team-oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
Icing on the cake:
Qualified in NFPA – 70 E for Electrical work.
Knowledge of environmental regulations.
