If you are looking to build a strong career, we have an opportunity for you! We are searching for a Lead Production Supervisor to join our team located in Hot Springs, AR. 

Responsibilities

Your Role:

As a Lead Production Supervisor, you will lead production supervisors and unionized production workers and ensure that all policies are followed, safety is upheld, and costs are reduced. This role is also responsible for ensuring that supervisors follow and administer company policies; and that supervisors perform their supervisor duties as well as their timecard data entries, time and attendance reporting, overtime administration and employee discipline. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Coach production supervisors (4) to be accountable for safety, production, quality, equipment damage and housekeeping of the department.
  • Manage safety of the department to ensure that the department is the safest area in the plant and that plant goals are met.
  • Ensure production rates in department are met.
  • Reduce department costs.
  • Ensure the department is meeting target accuracy goals and completion rate of the weekly inventory cycle counts; manage warehouse and ensure accuracy of inventory and shipping counts.
  • Answer first step labor grievances in a timely manner.
  • Manage weekly/daily scheduling of employees to ensure all required equipment is covered including overtime and weekend schedules.
  • Fill in for the department superintendent as necessary.
  • In locations where applicable, responsible for complying with the SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging product and to report food safety problems to those with authority to act.

Qualifications

We need you to have:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of related professional and progressive manufacturing experience.
  • Union experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Must be team-oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.

 

Icing on the cake:

  • BA/BS degree in Operations Management, Business, or related field.
  • Prior team management experience combined with a proven track record of developing, coaching, and mentoring a diverse staff.
  • Oracle experience.
