Responsibilities

Your Role:

The Manager of Network Operations will be responsible for the delivery of all Network services across the distributed enterprise. The role will have full accountability for daily operations of the Network Infrastructure, processes, technologies (WAN, LAN, WLAN, NAC, FW) and service providers’ relationships while partnering with business unit and other functional stakeholders.

 

Design and engineering activities in collaboration with architecture, security teams as well as with the business stakeholders are part of the responsibilities as well. Directly reporting to The Director of IT Operations, this leader will interface with internal teams and managed services partners in order to maintain contractual service levels. The Network Services Manager will be accountable for all aspects of the delivery of Network services.

 

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Manage operational activities and provide oversight and direction for the operation and support of IT Network systems.
  • Manage issues proactively, including timely resolution and the identification of remediation opportunities. Identify and resolve systemic issues to prevent them from repeating.
  • Review and approve any request prioritizations. Partner with managed service providers, ensuring delivery against agreed upon service levels and strive to continually improve overall service delivery of operational activities.
  • Create and maintain internal documentation to bring consistency, repeatability, and efficiency to the day-to-day operations.
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures to maximize efficiency and measure key performance indicators, consistently working to improve those metrics.
  • Develop and maintain vendor governance processes to maximize the value of delivered services and optimize operations.
  • Assist in evaluation, design, testing and implementation of network technology solutions and line of business applications.
  • Play an advisory role in IT projects to ensure that proposed solutions are in-line with operational capabilities of network services tower.
  • Maintain lifecycle and currency of network equipment and services.

Qualifications

We need you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or similar field preferred.
  • 7+ years of work experience in an IT delivery role, preferably in Network Solutions.
  • Ability to assess and communicate Network concepts and practices, with both business and IT stakeholders.
  • Experience with outsourced vendor and vendor contract management, including SLA review.
  • Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.
  • Knowledge of Aruba routing/switching technologies (or equivalent), traffic engineering, and experience interpreting and taking action on alert management and performance management reports.
  • Prior experience in design, implementation and operations of IT Network solutions working with managed services provider(s).
  • Ability to travel 5%.

 

Icing on the cake:

  • CCNP/CCIE certification.
  • Certification in Networking or related area from any of the major cloud service providers.

Posted Salary Range

USD $115,000.00 - USD $130,000.00 /A

Bonus Eligibility

Role is eligible for 10% annual incentive provided the business meets financial goals and the individual meets their performance goals, subject to plan administration guidelines.
