If you are looking to build a strong career, we have an opportunity for you! We are searching for a Tax Analyst to join our team located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.

Responsibilities

Your Role:

As a Tax Analyst, you will assist the Income and Indirect Tax Managers in all aspects of income, indirect and property taxes, including tax planning, accounting, and compliance. 

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist with the preparation of variety of corporate income and indirect tax returns using a variety of tax software;
  • Prepare various tax supporting calculations, workpapers and related journal entries (i.e., State-by-State Apportionment, quarterly tax entries, etc.);
  • Facilitate monthly, quarterly and annual cash tax estimates and payments;
  • Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Maintain tax fixed asset deprecation register using BNA fixed asset software;
  • Assist with audits and draft responses to information requests;
  • Assist with tax forecasting and budgeting;
  • Various other tax department administration duties

Qualifications

We need you to have:

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a corporate finance department.
  • Proficient in MS Office with high proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and interact with broader stakeholders to achieve goals.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills, with high attention to detail
  • Ability to be discreet with confidential information.
  • Exercises sound judgment, takes calculated risks and makes risk/return recommendations.

 

Icing on the cake:

  • CPA certification or preparing for CPA exam preferred, but not required.
  • Prior experience in public accounting.
  • Experience with CorpTax.
  • Experience with BNA Fixed Assets.
