We are searching for a Director - Architecture and Engineering to join our team located at our corporate headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.

Responsibilities

Your Role:

The Director - Architecture and Engineering will be responsible for defining and implementing technology strategy in order to continue transforming Reynolds Consumer Products into a Digital Enterprise. The role will act as cloud evangelist and educate IT and business stakeholders on features and capabilities of modern cloud, turning technology into RCP key competitive advantage. It will set strategies for zero-trust network architecture, modern workplace and hosting infrastructure. Significant area of focus will be developing and implementing secure architecture for Reynold's operational technology landscape. The Director will balance his time between creating strategic plans and roadmaps and assuring that individual solutions are aligned with the defined direction as well as the industry recommendations and best practices. Developing strategies and solutions to increase enterprise resilience is going to be a key focus of the role.

  • Lead a team of architects covering the entire spectrum of infrastructure technology, including operational technology, with an objective  of increasing resilience of RCP digital footprint.
  • Develop technology roadmaps to support RCP business plans and objectives.
  • Lead research, evaluation, design and implementation of new technology solutions at RCP, facilitating improvement of existing or introduction of new business services.
  • Assure solution scalability, supportability and compliance with company strategy and IT industry best practices.
  • Establish cloud robust cloud governance structure with guardrails and guidelines for introduction and implementing of new technology solutions into RCP.
  • Develop and establish processes for continuous monitoring and optimization of costs of cloud services.

Qualifications

We need you to have: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar areas of study, or a directly related field with 10 or more years of work experience.
  • 10+ years of work experience in technology architecture and engineering field at an enterprise level.

  • During recent history, candidate must have demonstrated exceptional ability to assess and communicate information technology principles, concepts and practices, with both business and IT stakeholders.

  • Proven implementation of creative technology solutions that advance the business.

  • Exposure or understanding of the following concepts, practices, and technologies: storage, compute, networking, security, workplace, public cloud, edge computing, datacenter technologies, security, identity management.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing environments designing and securing OT infrastructure solutions.
  • Knowledge of and experience in developing and documenting technology architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical and project.
  • Strong people skills, collaborative ability to work with IT stakeholders inside and outside of the organization, able to mentor team members with diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to formulate technology architecture vision and translate vision into execution.
  • Thorough understanding of Public Cloud concepts, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS design principles and best practices.
  • Experience with one or more major cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, or Google cloud.
  • Prior participation in the design, implementation, and migration to a cloud environment.
  • Understanding of the concepts of devops, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, CI/CD.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills to drive efficiencies and continuous improvement.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills demonstrating ability to effectively partner and negotiate with people at all levels within the organization as well as vendors and partners.
  • Must be able to work independently, exercising sound judgment and initiative.
  • Perform well under pressure and stressful situations.
  • Ability to travel 5%.

Posted Salary Range

USD $195,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /A

Bonus Eligibility

Role is eligible for 25% annual incentive provided the business meets financial goals and the individual meets their performance goals, subject to plan administration guidelines.
