Responsibilities

Your Role: 

The Quality Specification Manager is a technical resource for the domestic and international businesses of Reynolds Consumer Products (RCP), supporting:

  • All RCP business units
  • Internal and external manufacturing locations
  • Quality
  • Regulatory
  • Marketing / Sales
  • Procurement
  • New Product Development
  • International
  • Legal & Consumer Response

The Quality Specification Manager develops, reviews, updates, standardizes, and compiles specifications, and procedures to optimize the functionality, production, quality, legality, and safety of food packaging products made by and for Reynolds throughout the world

 

You will have the opportunity to Make Great Things Happen!

  • Participate in New Product Development, Product Review Board (PRB), and Global Commercialization meetings as needed to update and create raw material, WIP (work-in-process), co-packing and finished goods specifications.
  • Coordinate specification approvals, and communicate with external suppliers regarding specification content.
  • Manage SharePoint specification web page, establishing regular review frequencies and filing methodologies.
  • Provide generic specifications for quotation purposes to Procurement and Global Commercialization.
  • Assist Marketing and Sales with bid and customer specifications.
  • Assist in development of quality systems standard work procedures and documentation, including PRB project plans and requirements.
  • Provide Legal & Consumer Response with information to assist with product issues and inquiries.

Qualifications

We need you to have: 

  • BS degree in Engineering, materials science, packaging technology, related technical field of study, technical communication, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of quality specification related experience in the consumer products and/or food packaging industry.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing, presentation skills, and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Must have solid project management capabilities with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously from origin through execution.
  • Must have strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • General working knowledge of metals, polymers, paper, adhesives, inks, and coatings used in food preparation and packaging products.
  • Experience with quality systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and SpecRight.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines, occasionally in manufacturing environments and during off-hours.
  • Some travel is required, occasionally on short notice.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with teams in a fast-paced environment with multiple responsibilities and customers.
