We are searching for a Contract Manufacturing Finance Manager to join our team located at our corporate headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.

Responsibilities

Your role: 

 

The Contract Manufacturing Finance Manager is responsible for working directly with the Global Commercial team and outside contract manufacturers. Internally, this position will work cross functionally with all business teams, developing financial insights and road maps to assist in delivering outsourced solutions to keep our businesses growing. This position will develop financial processes and standardization across contract manufacturing involving hundreds of millions of dollars across products and services through dozens of contract manufacturers around the world, supporting our sales in over 90 countries.   • Oversees and manages the financial aspects related to Reynolds global contract manufacturers (CM’s). $250+ million of direct spend and Reynolds owned product flows through the global network of over 35 CM’s.
  • Requires the ability and knowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing paths, processes and unique arrangements to allow precise costing and financial control. Often it is necessary to string together multiple manufacturing paths, with multiple CM’s, to deliver the desired product to the businesses. Must be able to manage these complicated financial symbiotic relationships with both internal and external resources.
  • Is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for financial matters related to CM.  Manages the monthly reporting of inventories from the CM’s. This often is a mix of both Reynolds owned and CM owned components. Presents to VP- Global Commercialization, for authorization to scrap processing materials, obsolete packaging and finished goods held at the CM’s. Will provide visibility to these scrapped items to BU’s CFO’s.
  • Oversees SAP inventory adjustments to account for scrapping of materials. Verifies SAP inventory matches and offsets discrepancies through Journal Entry.
  • Identifying any incorrect co-packing PO’s, by running simulation bi-monthly, to avoid large SAP inventory adjustments.
  • Works with planning team to correct issues before month end.
  • Manages year end physical inventories at all Contract Manufactures and third party warehouses associated with CM and the Reynolds International Business.
  • Generate analysis of quotes (RFQ’s) sent out by the Global Commercialization team. Able to put this into a format that is acceptable to the Business Unit financial teams to allow decision making. The analysis must consider influencers such as tariffs, duties, freight, currency and raw material fluctuations, amortized equipment, etc.
  • Generate rolled up costing (tolled and CM’s pricing) to be used as standard cost for items in SAP. Manage the standard cost on a quarterly or as needed basis to keep current. Creates rolled up cost for Master Data (SAP). Develops price list templates for CM’s to use to streamline SAP price updates.
  • Track arrangements on amortized equipment as related to price and end of arrangement price changes.
  • Assist in the creation of sub-contract Bills of Materials for all third party manufactured or re-packed products that use Reynolds supplied components or materials.
  • Responsible for rolling up all cost components and key assumptions into the manufacturing cost that will be used to base pricing for key customers, often involving very large volumes and risks.
  • Runs analysis of co-packing expenses and identifies variances due to rework and order quantity changes.
  • Conducts sensitivity analysis on impacts to pricing from CM’s due to base material changes, currency changes, labor and packaging changes and provides to the BU financial teams.

Qualifications

We need you to have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum 5-10 years financial business experience, CPG preferred.
  • 7+ years of related cost accounting experience..
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures used in the CPG industry.
  • Experience with large, automated financial systems such as SAP.
  • Proficient in MS Office with high proficiency in Excel. 
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers. 
  • Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills with high attention to detail. 
  • Exercise sound judgment with the ability to take calculated risks and make risk/return recommendations. 
  • Ability to be discreet with confidential information. 
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization. 
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams. 

Icing on the cake:

  • MBA or other advanced degree a plus.

Posted Salary Range

USD $130,000.00 - USD $145,000.00 /A

Bonus Eligibility

Role is eligible for 14% annual incentive provided the business meets financial goals and the individual meets their performance goals, subject to plan administration guidelines.
