Responsibilities

Your Role:

 

In conjunction with the VP Trade Marketing, the Senior Customer Marketing Analyst will assist Trade Directors in leading, analyzing and implementing customer level annual strategic plans to drive growth through: customer marketing events, shelf level assortment (distribution optimization), at-shelf promotions, and at- shelf pricing (everyday and event) to drive year over year volume and share gains.

  • Lead, develop, and improve volume forecast analytics to drive Tableware volume forecast accuracy and deliver financial targets.
  • Lead, develop, and execute customer event analytics to optimize Tableware trade spending efficiency and drive brand share growth.
  • Assist Trade Directors to optimize Tableware portfolio spend against customer and product portfolio to drive optimal efficiency of trade spending through customer and product prioritizing.
  • Act as key interface among sales, marketing, supply chain and operations to deliver forecast accuracy and efficient utilization of production resources.
  • Analyze and report conditions occurring within the marketplace using IRI or ACNielsen syndicated data and information sourced both internally and externally.
  • Provide direction, funding, and budgetary control to field sales managers in the implementation of promotional programs for retail customers.
  • Execute and monitor funding requests from field sales based on business plan and approved budget levels.
  • Provide direction and answers to questions from Marketing, Finance or Supply Chain groups as it relates to the trade program and field sales matters.

Qualifications

We need you to have:

  • BA/BS degree in related field
  • 6 + years of sales/sales analytics experience in Consumer Packaged Goods industry, preferably including trade management, key account management, and/or field sales responsibility
  • Experience with consumption data models that support volume forecasts and price elasticities are a plus.
  • Knowledge and application of syndicated data, as well as the ability to incorporate financial measures in assessing results.
  • Strong analytical skills as well as organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Solid project management capabilities with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously from origin through execution.
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures used in the consumer products industry
  • Proficient in MS Office with high proficiency in Excel
  • Proficient in SAP
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines
  • Ability to travel on an overnight basis

  • MBA or other advanced degree a plus
