We are searching for a Senior FinancialAnalyst - FP&Ato join our team located at our headquarters in Lake Forest, IL.  

Responsibilities

Your Role: 

The Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A reports to the Hefty Storage BU Senior Finance Manager FP&A-Consumer and supports both that role and the FP&A Director in preparing the quarterly forecast and annual plan. The position contributes to the monthly corporate reporting pack and the BU Review materials presented to the ELT. Responsibilities include supporting the monthly close, analyzing results, identifying actions to improve performance, and completing ad hoc financial analyses. The role researches and interprets financial data, business performance, and market conditions to develop forecasts, reports, and insights that guide management decisions. You will have the opportunity to: 

  • Prepare annual financial operating plans using financial modeling and analysis.
  • Analyze records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred to project future revenues and expenses.
  • Develop consolidated plan, analysis and presentation materials for the annual strategic plan.
  • Complete ad hoc financial modeling and analysis as required for senior management.
  • Prepare analysis and reports for monthly financial results reviews, quarterly earnings releases and Board of Directors meetings.
  • Prepares the monthly Corporate FP&A result pack and ensures its accuracy.
  • Advise management on matters, such as effective use of resources and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
  • Interpret budgets to management.
  • May assist in financial analysis of legislative projects to develop capital improvement budget.
  • May advise regarding efficient use of funds.
  • In locations where applicable, responsible to comply with the SQF and GMP practices and programs to ensure safe food packaging product and to report food safety problems to those with authority to take action.
  • Size, scope and complexity of assigned portfolio are factors in the level of responsibility.

Qualifications

We need you to have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3+ years of experience with Reynolds Consumer product lines, or a similar CPG type organization.
  • Exposure to a manufacturing environment
  • Project valuation/analysis skills to support/make decisions.
  • Budgeting and Month-End analysis/reporting experience
  • Experience with Hyperion Financial Management.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • High proficiency in Excel, including ability to use array formulas, pivot tables and conduct financial modeling.
  • Ability to correlate discrete pieces of data into a larger view to identify and describe trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels within the organization. Particularly, the ability to effectively communicate technical information verbally as well as in written formats.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work unsupervised as well as collaborate across all functional teams, including internationally.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple accountabilities and multiple internal customers.
  • Strong level of intellectual curiosity, analytical skills as well as organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to exercise patience and fortitude to identify, analyze and resolve problems logically and systematically.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to work on high collaboration and performance teams.

 

Icing on the cake: 

  • MBA or other advanced degree.
  • CPA certification.
  • Experience in SAP.
