Are you looking to build a strong career? Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Manager, Jacksonville East, at our manufacturing plant in Jacksonville, IL.

Responsibilities

Your Role:

As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for supervising activities of workers engaged in setting up, installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment. We embrace and accept individual experiences and backgrounds to achieve a diverse and inclusive workplace.

  • Ensure all team members are trained and compliant with all safety policies, standards and expectations.
  • Provide timely feedback and coaching to individuals and team to develop them to their full potential.
  • Recruit, staff, train, and retain talent to maximize the efficiency of our operation.
  • Proactively recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Work closely with maintenance technicians, production supervisors, and all support roles to provide overall coordination of maintenance activities and resources to drive daily achievement of planned maintenance activities and efficient/effective response to unplanned stoppage events on conversion and extrusion production lines.
  • Understand key operational losses, the maintenance systems’ health, the capabilities of the maintenance technicians and salary resources to prioritize maintenance support needs and improvements.
  • In coordination with the Production Manager, develop the vision needed to lead and oversee the maintenance support operational equipment.
  • Coordinate shift activities for the Maintenance Department to maintain equipment at the highest practical level through continuous improvement of the maintenance systems, as well as leadership within the facility’s continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work with team members to develop the most cost-effective repair strategies and manage maintenance spending responsibilities to achieve overall factory maintenance budget.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and line/equipment trends to ensure the best operation and overall reduction of planned/unplanned downtime in coordination with engineering.
  • Manage the department budget to ensure conformance to cost targets.

Qualifications

We need you to have:

  • 2 or 4 year degree from a college or technical school; or 5 to 8 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a maintenance leader field, ideally supporting high speed manufacturing with Maintenance Planning and Reliability Engineering, a plus.
  • Proven success at leading maintenance improvement projects and people development.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS systems (SAP) with the ability to mine and analyze data for trends/reports.
  • Work normal shift along with providing support to a 24/7 and ability to work extended hours as needed.
  • Prior leadership experience.

Icing on the cake:

  • BA/BS degree, preferred.
  • Knowledge, understanding, and passion for continuous improvement methodologies.
